The dragon

Vani entered into a cavern and saw a small pools of frozen water all around. It was unusually cold and frost was sparkling from the cave walls but there was no time to think about the ambient. In the middle of the cavern, on the pool of ice, she saw a young white dragon.

Trying not to breath too loud, she sneaked back outside and told everybody of her discovery. Incanus suggested that this dragon is probably responsible for organizing the kobolds as they often serve the dragons. Kalista added that maybe they should try to talk to the dragon. Incanus said he know draconic language and that he will talk to him. They entered and slowly approached the dragon.

Incanus talked to the dragon and was translating to others. After speaking to the dragon for the first time he said that dragon is angry and that they should have bring him a gift if they want to talk to him. Before anybody else could react, Irgon drawn the egg they found before from his bag and offered it to the dragon. This only angered the dragon; he roared and attacked them.

Fortunately for the party helped by Incanus and Yoderis, although dragon was very strong and formidable opponent, they number counted and party managed to bring him down.

Party found a few usable things in the cave: frost warhammer, 4 healing potions, catstep boots, symbol of life and 300gp. Also, they’ve found a metal plate with engraved map of some island. Most of the island was black but small part on the east was white and looked like Nebola Island. From the white side, three white swords were drawn into the black part. On the top of the plate there were five circles. Three were full and other two were empty.

While they all were disputing about their share of the loot, they were interrupted by Kalista’s scream. Yoderis stood behind her and said: “One devil less!”. She stabbed a devil slayer knife into Kalista’s back. Irgon charged on Yoderis but she raised her hand: “Stop, dwarf. You don’t know with whom you are traveling.”

Standing above Kalista’s body, Yoderis explained that Kalista is a member of the Tiefilng cult dedicated to rejoin with the devil again. Their cult is spreading through Dolonir and Kalista is probably first on Nebola Island. Incanus suggested to tie up Yoderis and bring her with them to his tower and investigate the matter further. Irgon agreed but promised to watch on her.

When they gathered for teleportation, they noticed that Kalista drew something on the ground. The drawing was symbol of Asmodeus. She put her silver ring on the symbol and dropped some blood over it. They didn’t know what could that mean but Yoderis took it as a proof of devilship. Irgon wanted to try to raise Kalista’s body in the city but the body first became transparent and then it just disappeared, leaving only a black mark.

The ghosts

When they finally teleported, they found themselves in the strange, foggy place again. Incanus and Yoderis weren’t with them but Kriv who is dead was here alive. This time they stood before the cloudy tower. As pinching didn’t wake them, they decided to enter the tower. Inside, they were in a big room with a spiral stairs going up and a statue of a warrior with a whirlpool on his chest.

On the next floor, they discovered a four doors. In two of them they found a colored icy smoking plates. Next room, however, appeared empty until something started hitting Irgon. He quickly realized that something is there and could maybe be seen if he use the stones somehow. He threw the stones together on the ground but it didn’t work: he was hit again. They’ve run out and in the next room they found another ice plate. Irgon threw the all three into the room and they could now see a silhouette of what was hitting them. Although insubstantial, the ghost wasn’t immune to weapons – they brought him down.

When the ghost disappeared he dropped a piece of ice in the shape of heart. Everybody immediately realized this heart is something which should go into the chest of a warrior on the first floor. But only a second before Irgon threw the heart into the warrior’s chest, another whirlpool appeared on the Kriv’s chest. They had only one heart and it was hard to decide where it should go. They decided to put it into the warrior.

Moment later, they all appeared at the target of teleportation: the wizards tower.
