		<description>It&#039;s a harder choice than most developers realize. Until people experience problems like your above story about an image library (ImageMagick?) they often run around thinking that dependencies are a no-brainer. 

I&#039;m always suspicious of every new library; I&#039;ve learned to not let them into the code base easily, and to track their information and licenses carefully. But, to be fair, I&#039;m usually working on commercial products.
