There’s a ship stalled in the fog in waters east of the Nebola Island. Cliffs and dense fog encircles the island so only the most experienced navigators can safely reach Eripia, the single accessible port on this island, and only on short occasions wind disperses the fog. This ship in the fog is not an ordinary transport ship, this ship is full of uncommon passengers. Around forty adventurers travel to the first Nebola Island adventuring tournament. But even there, one cabin is stranger then others. In this cabin, one can meet members of five different races and all kinds of weapons and armor. Some jokester even nailed a “Circus” sign on the door.

All five of them aren’t very lively. Everybody has his reason to enter the tournament, everyone has reason to keep it secret. Silence is broken when group of four drunk fighters enter and demand to search the room for a stolen ring. Roommates don’t want to allow this but to avoid conflict they eventually give in. The ring is found beneath one mattress and fight breaks out. Drunk fighters are quickly overpowered and thrown out and the ring is given to the ship’s captain to decide what to do with it.

This incident, although unpleasant, gave the party something to talk about and they decided to stick together for the tournament. Kalista, Vani, Kriv, Elsing and Irgorn became a party.

In the evening, the ship finally started moving again and before midnight they reached Eripia port. Adventurers are met by a well dressed gentlemen who introduced himself as their host and leads them to the “White Whale”, tavern near the docks where they can stay for the night and have a breakfast. It’s free for the adventurers, of course.

Next morning, their host leads them to a town square where the crowd has gathered waiting for the opening of a tournament. Lord Fejenor, major of the city, welcomed them, made a long speech about city’s history and finally announced the tournament rules and quests.

Major quest is a search for the missing explorer, Leno de Franko, who vanished a year ago exploring the Aluven river. But to qualify for this quest, the party must first solve one of the minor tasks to prove they are ready to take on this dangerous mission.

One minor task is to find a mysterious gold bird that flies over the city once a month. Other task is to catch a panther who killed three woodcutters. Once they solve any of the minor tasks they will get vital information to begin the major quest.

Celebration continued deep into the night but our party left quickly, getting ready to do some adventuring.

In this introduction, unlikely group created a non-human adventuring party. Dragonborn, dwarf, elf, halfling and tiefling join together. Although individually not uncommon in the world, sight of them working together as a party could raise a few eyebrows. But we can assume there is some higher force which directed them to the same path.

They have three quests to begin with, enough to get to know each other, as players and as characters.
